ETHICS

 

Publishing ethics

The editorial board understands the editorial ethics as a set of rules governing the relations of editorial staff with members of the editorial board and external reviewers, with authors on issues of publication, as well as among themselves. The editorial rules are based on international standards of publishing ethics and made taking into account the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). regarding the equality of all articles/authors for the editor, editorial board, reviewers; confidentiality; unfairness; originality and plagiarism; conflict of interest. The editorial board is constantly working to improve the activities of the journal.

The editorial board takes full responsibility and have the authority to reject or accept articles for publication.

The editorial board does not accept for publication materials that have no scientific value, do not correspond to the profile of the journal or contradict its editorial policy.

The editorial board ensures the confidentiality of materials submitted to the editorial board until they are published.

The editorial board do not accept for publication materials if there are strong reasons to believe that they contain plagiarism or have been previously published in other editions in the same language. If such violations are detected, the editorial board has the right to refuse publication at any time, including at the stage of preliminary review of materials, without involving reviewers, and not to accept for consideration any work from unscrupulous authors for three years.

The editorial board makes sure that the quality of scientific publications does not depend on commercial interests. The editorial board reserves the right to publish advertising articles, but undertakes to mark them in an unambiguous manner as advertising.

The editorial board takes the necessary measures to ensure the anonymity of reviewers. The identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors, unless the reviewer himself decides to enter into direct correspondence with the author. The editorial board takes the necessary measures to ensure an unbiased review of articles. The editorial board makes sure that the article is not sent to a reviewer who has a known conflict of interest with the author. If signs of biased review are identified, the editors have the right to refuse the services of an unscrupulous reviewer for an indefinite period.

The editorial board reserves the right to technical editing manuscripts, correcting stylistic, grammatical and spelling errors in a routine manner without special notice to the author. At the same time the editors make sure that the editing does not change the meaning of the author’s text. The editorial board ensures the availability of open access current instructions for the authors on the issues related to the conditions and rules of publication of the results of their research in the journal.

All persons involved in the publishing process assume the listed obligations. The editor-in-chief coordinates all editorial work, makes decisions on key issues, considers all controversial issues regarding compliance with the obligations assumed, and also signs the current issue for publication and gives permission to post materials on the site. The editor-in-chief fully guarantees compliance with all the ethical standards set forth here.

 

Reviewing ethics

The reviewer must be fair and unbiased when reviewing articles. The reviewer must respect the authors of peer-reviewed papers, formulate reviews correctly and objectively, if necessary, confirming his opinion with references to sources. The reviewer must maintain the confidentiality of ratings and reviews of articles, prevent unpublished materials from falling into the hands of third parties and their unauthorized use.

The reviewer’s comments should be constructive and dictated by the desire to achieve the truth. If the reviewer identifies erroneous provisions, distorted, incorrect or incorrectly described data, the reviewer should point this out to the author to eliminate the identified violations. In case of insufficient scientific or professional competence for an objective assessment of the submitted materials, the reviewer must inform the editors about this.

The reviewer must comply with the deadlines for reviewing articles. If it is impossible to give a review within the deadline set by the editorial board, he/she must immediately notify the editors about this, if possible, propose an alternative candidate for the reviewer.

If a reviewer receives an article for which he or she has a conflict of interest, the reviewer must inform the editorial board and refuse to review the article.

 

Author’s Ethics

The authors of the article can be persons who have made a significant contribution to the work, its revision or correction, the final approval for publication, as well as those responsible for the integrity of all parts of the manuscript. Persons who performed a other role in the preparation of the article (statisticians, language specialists, technical staff, etc.) may be listed in the Acknowledgments section of the article in Russian, English, or both.

The materials submitted by the author to the editorial board for publication must be original and reliable. It is unacceptable to use the data of other authors under the guise of your own results and to present deliberately false data. In the case of unintentionally distorted data, errors made in the conduct or description of research, the author must eliminate these violations as quickly as possible and notify the editorial board about it. If the work has already been published, the author must send material for publication of a refutation. An exception may be works published in another edition in another language, but in this case this circumstance should be explicitly reflected in the manuscript.

The author is obliged to conscientiously refer to quoting third-party data and judgments, to avoid distortion, and to always cite sources correctly. It is preferable to use a primary source for citations.

When submitting a manuscript to the editorial board, the author must avoid conflicts of interest, i.e., situations in which someone in the editorial board has an interest in influencing the decision to publish.

 

POLICY

The main purpose of the journal is to disseminate and exchange information on current issues in the development of ecological and regenerative medicine, contributing to the achievement of the objectives of health saving, improving the quality of life and life expectancy of the population.

The RJERM journal provides direct, open access to its content, based on the principle that free open access to research results increases the global exchange of knowledge.

RJERM is a platform for the exchange of opinions between professional researchers and health care managers, those who really make decisions and those who implement them.

The journal publishes articles in Russian and English, each article is accompanied by a meaningful abstract in Russian and English.

The journal has an actively working editorial board, consisting of well-known Russian and foreign scientists, flexible work of reviewers. All articles in the journal are peer-reviewed. The journal strives to increase the level of information support of the field, popularization of the results of scientific research.

The editorial board is constantly working to ensure its presence in scientific and bibliographic databases, inclusion in the newly formed indexed scientific and bibliographic resources.

The Journal pays attention to the organizational side, in addition to scientific articles the information about profile scientific events, important domestic and international administrative decisions, interesting novelties of profile scientific literature, significant events in the activities of scientific teams, etc. is published in the edition. The editorial board encourages civilized discussion and debate on the pages of the journal.
